Eddie Schwind

Eddie Schwind has been active in music for over fifteen years as a performer, composer, and arranger. Originally from Bismarck, North Dakota, Schwind enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1995. His time in the military took him to Virginia, North Carolina, and California, and also took him overseas to Greece. While in the Marine Corps bands, he was active as both a classical and jazz performer, and was also responsible for composing and arranging pieces and charts for various ensembles ranging from jazz combo and big band to concert band. After finishing up his time in the military, Schwind returned to North Dakota where he became a student at North Dakota State University, where he is currenly attending school in pursuit of a degree in electrical engineering. In the past, he has been a major part of the jazz program at NDSU where he arranged several big band charts for the school's top jazz ensemble. Eddie continues to perform in the area in various jazz combos, and has performed with the FM Jazz Arts Big Band. He is married to the former Jennifer Teigen.
