Tanya Matthies was raised and graduated high school in Worthington, Minnesota. She is presently studying music at North Dakota State University. Matthies has been active in Fargo-Moorhead as a trumpet instrumentalist with various ensembles and theatre performing groups during her five years in the area. She has also been a major contributer to many ensembles at North Dakota State University.
