Dan Johnson hails from Bismarck, North Dakota where he studied trumpet for a number of years before coming to North Dakota State University. Since arriving in Fargo, he has become a known lead trumpet player in the area. He has played locally with the Jazz Arts Group, as well as with other ensembles in the state to include the Bismarck-Mandan Symphony. He studied music at North Dakota State, and is now completing his second degree in electrical engineering.
