In a recent e-mail to past and present Jass members notifying them of Brent Alexenko's passing, I noted that he had "recently received his Doctorate of Musical Arts in choral conducting at North Dakota State University". Dr. Matt Patnode, Associate Professor of Music at NDSU corrected me via e-mail by noting that he was "a DMA candidate and had not completed his DMA at NDSU yet even though he had landed a full time gig in Wisconsin". This fact was confirmed in his Official Obituary as well.

In my Christopher Speaks segement on November 14, 2007, I mentioned at the end that it would be a good gesture to send a Christmas card to Walter Reed Medical Center addressed to "A Recovering American Soldier". While the intentions and sentiments were good, I received an e-mail from the ESGR Executive Director for North Dakota, Vern Fetch, which stated the following:
"The Walter Reed Army Medical Center will not receive letters that are not addressed to a particular soldier by name. In a statement, the facility said 'Walter Reed cannot accept these packages in support of the decision by then Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Transportation Policy in 2001. This decision was made to ensure the safety and well being of patients and staff at medical centers throughout the Department of Defense.' The decision applies to packages, letters, Christmas cards, or any other mail not addressed to a soldier by name. Additionally the U.S. Postal Service has stopped delivering any mail that is addressed to 'A Recovering American Soldier' or 'Any Wounded Soldier,' which are the most common recommendations that circulate about sending messages to soldiers at Walter Reed. Instead, Water Reed suggests making a donation to http://www.americasupportsyou.mil/ which is a site representing more than 300 organizations helping the troops in various ways."

In my Christopher Speaks segement on November 6, 2005, I talked about my December 17th show being cancelled and spoke of being disappointed that Patents Pending wouldn't get a chance at a 'test-run' of new music. To whom it may concern, my concept and definition of 'test-run' in this case meant that it would be a chance to showcase new rehearsed and performance-ready rock/horn charts that we have found as a group to be dancable and party-approved. The chance to try them out in front of friends was what I meant by a 'test-run'. Patents Pending is a professional band with great musicians, and we would never walk into a gig with unprepared music or musicians, nor would we compromise any performance by doing that sort of thing.

In my Around the Horn segement about the new members of jazz ensemble, I incorrectly identified the newest trombone section member as Cullen Bachmeier. The correct person would actually be Cullen Wells. Both Cullen's I mentioned are actually from Minot, though Cullen Bachmeier is my age and graduated in 1994.

In my October 4th rendition of Around the Horn, I incorrectly stated in the Another Bison Win column that Craig Dahl had 13 tackles on the day. He actually had 17. Though a small error, his strong defensive grapple on the Nicholls State offense was important, and true credit is obviously due where it is in fact due.

I recently posted a section on my site about an editorial letter that a service member in the US Air Force wrote up in response to a letter posted in The Washington Times by actress Cindy Williams. I understood and agreed with the letter A1C Bragg submitted in response. You can read it here.
However, upon some studying of the facts, I have found out that a few things were wrong with the what I posted. Read the real facts here.
The editorial A1C Bragg speaks of was indeed published, and his response is heartfelt and quickly agreed with in my book. But, I just wanted to make sure that I got a note on the site about how some of the information was incorrect.
